Gintare Petkeviciute

PhD Student
University of Leeds

Gintare did her undergraduate degree in Lithuania, Kaunas University of Technology and graduated with an MSc in Chemistry in 2022 from the University of Leeds. During her undergraduate degree, Gintare focussed on the synthesis and characteristics of biological active nicotine acid derivatives. Her Master’s research project was about post transitional addition of PTS1 to proteins and concentrated on modified peptide probes interactions with mutant receptor PEX5 in order to investigate protein importation into the peroxisomes. Gintare is now carrying out her PhD with Prof. Thomas chamberlain, Prof. Richard Bourne, Dr Adam Clayton and Prof. John Blacker. Her research is focused on automated dynamic flow system for efficient mapping of reaction design spaces sponsored by AstraZeneca.
